CITY COUNCIL ADOPTS THE SIERRA MODEL OF EDUCATION IN HUMAN VALUES
Published: 01/07/2009Educate citizens beyond the scientific disciplines. Instructing students with technical knowledge and zeal. Make the classroom an environment where they can discuss and share human experiences. These and other assumptions are part of the "Human Values Program," that the City of Sierra presents in the 3rd and August 4th, about 100 professionals in the school system.

Published: 04/02/2003TOLEDO - Peace, love, truth and righteousness. These are some of the ideals sought by the Education in Human Values, a practice that is becoming more popular in schools and universities. The methodology was presented during these past three days, the teachers of the College Incomar. Since Monday they attend the Training Seminar on Human Values delivered by Gonçalo Vicente de Medeiros, president of the Institute of Sathya Sai Education responsible for the dissemination of the method by Brazil. "Education in Human Values teaches man to fill your heart with compassion, speak the truth and dedicate his body to the good of society," said the president Medeiros.

The methodology arrived in the country in 1993, through the Institute of Sathya Sai Education, and aims to establish character and human excellence. "Education in Human Values teaches man to fill your heart with compassion, speak the truth and dedicate his body to the good of society," said the president of the Institute, Gonçalo Vicente de Medeiros. "We believe it is due to the absence of these human values as the country goes through trials today," he says.
